Just like us, dogs, cats and all animals deserve love and life! We are a huge no kill animal shelter and we believe that all animals deserve a chance. Our four footed friends are our family until we can find them a new one. It takes over $1,000 to keep our doors open every day because there are over 300 animals being cared for everyday at the SPCA. We will do whatever it takes to love and care for them until we can find that special home. We provide a low cost spay/neuter clinic to the general public and perform County wide cruelty to animal cruelty investigations. Three little beagles not even weighing 20 lbs, were just removed from a very hot barn where they were kept most of their lives being tied to 2 foot tow chains. These little beagles are so happy to be at the SPCA getting all sorts of love and kisses. A pony was also removed from the property after our vet agreed the 30 yr old little guy had been being starved. He is on his way to a pony sanctuary where he can live out the rest of his life! Our shelter is different than most. It is run by volunteers. We do not have a high paid executive director. Our President runs the organization without taking a pay check! Although we do have paid staff to clean and answer the phones because of so many animals, everything else is done by volunteers. Please check out our website at spcacattco.com.
